It's here, the 1-0-0. Wow..I can't believe that in the time I've been writing about my crazy life on here, I've made so many friends. People have bounced on here 45,000 times to see what I'm up to. When I think about it like that, I think I should probably be saying something a little more interesting than what I usually do. But maybe that's what people need in this insane world? A trip back to when everything you had was created by your own efforts. Quality and craftsmanship. Handmade is the best, hands down.
My whole purpose for starting this blog was to share with others my passion for sewing. Hopefully you have enjoyed the ride. It's ironic to me that at the same time I started this, I was in the beginning stages of putting together my portfolio of fabric designs. (Which by the way, I am dying to share, the strike-offs should be here soon and then you'll get a glimpse..:) When I hit my blogiversary, I will be on my way to Quilt Market to shamelessly promote myself and Ginger Blossom.
An eventful year, no doubt. The winds of change are blowing-I mentioned previously that I will soon be closing up shop for Portabellopixie. Even writing this is sending knots of sadness in my stomach. I have loved creating clothing for your little ones. It is special and happy work. I have made amazing friends for life during my journey through boutique. I thought about mentioning names, but I got up to around 20 and decided against it. You know who you are, and that I love you tons.
I have decided to extend it a bit though-until Ginger Blossom is up and running. So September-Octoberish. From there we'll see what happens-I'm sure you'll be seeing my clothing designs again for purchase. It's too much fun.
Anyhow, I've been teasing and teasing that I had some great thing planned for #100 didn't I? I know you guys are all wondering when I'm going to move past memory lane and get to the good stuff, huh? Allrighty then, I want to sew for someones child. And, hey, I'll do it for free. Don't have a little child, that's OK-I'll make something for you. :) So leave me a comment to be entered into my little drawing. The winner will recieve a free outfit for thier kiddo or some type of sewn goody for themselves. It's a surprise, you just send me the measurements. And if you don't like a certain color, tell me that too!
So this is my thank you for listening to me ramble, you guys should have your head's examined..
:)
Sandi

Congrats on #100! Always love seeing your beautiful pictures and amazing fabric selections!
