Exactly one year ago I decided I was going to design fabric. The idea hit me full force and I could'nt think of anything else. It is ironic to me that my blogging anniversary collides with the arrival of Ginger Blossom. It's a very happy day for me, to finally be able to share with you what I have been working on for the last year.
I started out slowly, playing with the process (there is no book "How to design Fabric in 40 days..) I studied fabric for months, finding what really struck my fancy and what colors made me swoon. I was defining my style. I am a huge lover of textiles-I have literally every genre presiding happily in my stash. Retro, vintage, modern, shabby chic. I enjoy it all, and eventually I found a style that was all me-a little bit of everything. Eclectic and Happy. I designed the two color-ways to play very happily with each other, and provide juxtaposition within the line.
I can't tell you how pleased I am with how everything came together. The crew at Michael Miller Fabrics have been a dream to work with. The quality and feel of the fabric they manufacture is wonderful. How incredibly lucky I feel to have signed on with them, they have guided me every step of the way and I couldn't be more thankful.
Thank you for being so patient with me as I have babbled on about it and given poor sneak peeks. I hope you feel it has been worth it. I have so enjoyed this year with you and look forward to many more. You all provide me with mounds of inspiration. I'm watching much more than you probably think I am. ;)
The friends that I have made..wow. I won't even start on that one, but the comments and emails of encouragement I receive from everyone is so uplifting. Thank you.
Oh, and there is a cupcake with a winners name on it! #67, Michelle who said "Those are darling! Great idea!". Email me with your address and tell me which cupcake you would like.

WOW!!!
