Hello sweet friends. Yes, I am alive. Thank you so much for the generous thoughts, words of advice and personal stories you have sent my way in the last month. Wow-has it been a MONTH since I last posted? Unintentional-sorry! You know the old saying "if you can't say anything nice..." that's where I was. LOL Not really surgery wise though-I have had no complications and have lost 33 pounds to date! Yeah! toot-toot! It's starting to slow down a little now that I am incorporating some foods back into my diet. (The first 3 weeks is all liquid and if I don't have soup again for the next year, I think I'll be ok with that.)
When we returned home, I was hit with the nastiest cold I have ever had and basically didn't feel like bothering you guys with a bunch of "I feel awful, I can't breath, whaa whaa whaa.." Don't know what will happen the next time I decide to have a child-those 9 months we may not talk. ;)
Anyhow, I feel much better now. Have plenty of energy and get to start exercising this month.
How are you guys? Missed you, really I have.
Oh the things I need to talk about, where to begin?
My boxes are on their way to the US right now and Hullabaloo has a survey set up to establish their pricing. Anyone who feels like taking it (takes about 2 minutes) will be entered into a drawing for one of four $25 gift cards through them.
I've had many ask where they will be available for purchase and the fastest place to get them (right now) will be my website. They will be popping up in retail stores soon. If you are interested in purchasing them wholesale, please contact William at william@hullabaloohomedecor.com or Michael at michael@hullabaloohomedecor.com
The folks over at Rag and Bone Bindery have my fabrics as their featured item right now. They are doing books on a limited basis, so if you want one, I'd go and snatch them up!

Kathy had Michael Miller fabrics tested in response to the whole CPSIA nonsense.
I know there is a lot of crazy confusion going on out there and I completely understand it. I would like to say that I have faith that this will get resolved, try and hold out and keep a positive outlook. This law is obviously flawed and there is no reason it shouldn't be amended. Yes, that is easier said than done, but don't give up yet!

Speaking of Michael Miller and fabric, I am at *that* point. The point that comes right at the end of designing a collection. I lock myself away for hours and hours and finish 'er up. I don't think I've ever mentioned it, but I always have a playlist specifically for the collection I'm working on. I've update my playlist (sorry Christmas lovers, but I think Jan. 27th is time to take down the Holiday tunes) with the music I'm listening to right now. Anything I'm missing that you guys think would jive well with the list over there? Let me know! Oh and I absolutely pull one of these when the song comes on. Eliza's really good at it too..
Alright, we're still nowhere near caught up, but it's going to have to do for now. Be back much sooner than a month.
xo
Sandi
PS - this is really what I've been up to:
Welcome!
You have found the blog of designer Sandi Henderson! I am a lover of the arts, my mediums primarily being textile and clothing design with a little photography splashed into the mix. My first book, Sewing Bits and Pieces, will be released Spring 2010.
Enjoy!
Please feel free to use any photography of my fabrics, patterns or products to help promote the sale of those items in your store or website. Any photography that is of a personal nature (pictures of my kiddos and family) please email and ask before posting them anywhere else! Thank you.
