Where did all you insightful, beautiful souls come from? 

I have never enjoyed reading comments so much!

Thank you so much for all the tips on getting out of the grouches.  The one thing I have found that almost everyone has in common is chocolate.  I sooo used to be a chocoholic.  But since my surgery, I've tried very very hard to change that about me.  (Little update on that-I'm doing really great!  I've lost enough that I don't feel like posting the number for the world to see.  ;)  I will have the occasional treat, but it is in very small quantities and far and few between.  I've found that to be quite calming actually.  When I do give myself an edible treat, I plan it.  "Tonight I am going to have such and such.."  And I do and I enjoy it and don't feel guilty afterwards.

Speaking of...

Thank you also for all the healthy recipes you've sent my way.  I'm going to try them all, promise.  What fun additions to the giveaway.

Speaking of the giveaway...

I like to take a whirlpool bath with hot water and lots of bubbles. Turn off the lights, light some candles, soft music...it gives me a whole new perspective.

When I am feeling in a funk I get out of the house :) - meet up with a friend or two - go visit someone but what really works is giving my time to someone else.

Going for walk in beautiful weather lifts my spirits too. If all that doesn't work - SHOPPING! ha ha!

We're on our way to Disneyland Saturday morning!

Speaking of Disneyland..  I was talking to Michael (the Michael in Michael Miller) the other day and low and behold, his family will be there Saturday too so we're meeting up.  Fun.

A coupla things:

New blog decorations!  If you're on bloglines or some other reader, hop on in today and see my new duds.  I've wanted to put one of my designs in the background for 2 years and finally decided to figure it out the other night.  Of course, it's a piece of cake.  Read here if you're interested in doing the same.

New music player to the right.  Skinned with my favorite item, the iPhone.  Seriously, love love love my phone.  I'm actually on my second one, Dustin has the first.  (He's so nice and offered to take mine when I was lusting over the new versions when they came out.)  Anyhow- I set it so that it doesn't start playing when you hop on the blog.  I know some of you don't like getting caught blog surfing while at work so your secret is safe with me now.  The really cool thing about this new widget is that I can have it play videos.  If you're a U2 fan, watch the elevation video.  Love it!

And Speaking of music - I'm glad so many of you come to love Lenka as much as I do.  Thank Liz, she's the one that turned me on to her.  She always has the best music playing on her blog.  Becca too-I turn on both her and Liz's blogs when I feel like listening to another persons playlist with the same style of taste in music.

Speaking of good music - I've got a new artist I'm going to introduce you all to when we get back.  If you can't wait (the recording company is sending me her album to giveaway here) search out Lisa Hannigan.  So talented!

I will try and set up a post or two to go off while we're gone, but it may not happen.  There's a lot to get done before we leave.  I'd love to keep in touch though!

Speaking of keeping in touch.  I finally took the twitter plunge and if you so wish to follow me, you may hear daily bits about new carpet, picking out paint and taking showers with strangers in the house.  Just so you're warned.

I dunno if your Disneyland exploits are going to spill over into Sunday, but there will be several hundred people wandering around doing a scavenger hunt that day - could be entertaining or annoying, depending on how you choose to look at it. I always LOVE reading your blog. We had a BIG case of the grumpies a few days ago.. in hind site it was really a case of "they have to be too young for this sort of sass." Two strong girls pose a huge challenge for me! But I love them none the less ; Looks like you are busy but all good stuff!
