How's it going everyone?
We're getting into the swing of the holidays over here! We've been working on putting together some Christmas kits of different sorts and the 2009 free ornament pattern is in the works too.
The first batch of marshmallows has been cranked out and was ingested too fast for pictures. But the prep was mighty pretty. (above)
Part of my holiday blog celebration this year is going to take place in the form of a massive giveaway! I thought it would be great to spotlight indi artisans and to help people out with their Christmas shopping at the same time. It will start on the 19th of this month, running through the end of November. If you are interested in having your website / shop included, please send me an email with the subject GIVEAWAY. Please include the following information in your email:
* A link to your website, etsy shop or blog
* A clear picture of the item (or similar) that you would be interested in including in your giveaway.
* Your estimated time of delivery to the winner.
* Are you willing to ship internationally?
The actual item(s) to be given away is up to you, I would suggest a gift card to be redeemed by the winner. The amount is of the giveaway is also up to you, current participants have donated retail amounts $15-$100. Participating is free, just the cost of your prize(s).
There are 12 days to the giveaway and not everyone will be able to participate. If you are chosen, your item will be featured on one of the days and your website or shop linked so that everyone can find it. You are welcome to offer a promo for everyone if you would like.
I'm really looking forward to this! I think it will be a win win for everyone involved. The people I have lined up so far are amazing!
All right, I need to run to the store for more marshmallow ingredients. Experimenting with Smore's flavored tomorrow.
My marshmallow helpers- (Eliza chopped her bangs at school, I tried to fix them with that "I meant to cut them this short" style but I'm not so sure it worked. ;)

Sounds exciting, can't wait. Those marshmallow flavours sound great, looking forward to recipes. We had one of those bang cutting moments as well when my little girl was four, ugh, they did grow out eventually.

I shaved an eyebrow one Easter morning! I was only trying to be like my Dad:)
Then I cut my cousins bangs during Christmas...needless to say, I do not work in a salon.

Ooh! I just told my sister. She is an incredible lady and she and her hubby make some truly wonderful soap. Coincidentally, her husband is also a huge Star Wars fan. I hope she emails you. Maybe you two can commiserate - oops, I mean talk about the joys of Girl's Camp!

Her bangs look cute - I tried to make marshmallows one time but they didn't come out that great - maybe it's too humid here? or I did something wrong (that's more likely)...maybe I'll try again! The giveaways sure sound fun!

Smores marshmallows, please share if they turn out! I've made peppermint and vanilla but smores would be heaven. For chopped hair it really doesn't look that bad, it could have been worse- she's such a cutie.

I cut my bangs a week before christmas with the biggest, scariest pair of old fashioned metal kitchen shears at age 3. My mother was horrified, but it's still one of the most loved santa photos we have, 31 years later it still gets a good laugh.
Her hair will grow back...but those marshmallows won't, so get to work on those smores ones...because I need the recipe.

Love your Christmas blog idea!
Adorable girls-just boys for me-but they cut my
old barbies hair to make her a "Ken".

My first impression of your picture of your girls was that there was nothing as precious as clean bright happy faces. I honestly didn't notice the bangs til after reading your entry. Hey...pixie short bangs are in...right?
