So Sew Week 1 - Polka Dot
When I heard that the week 1 word was polka dot, I have to admit, I was a bit stumped. And then I laughed because I realized I had picked up some polka dot chiffon-y tulle the day before to make a tutu for this stellar mucisian's stage events. Oh, can you just see it? I can't wait to see it.
I wanted to make it fun and textural, and never really having made a tutu before, I just went for it. I layed all the materials out on the floor and just started cutting. And sewing. And more. And more.
I seriously want one myself now and am trying really hard to come up with a good solid reason to make one for myself. Dustin says I should just wear one to the grocery store. :)
Pop on over and see what the other players in the word of the week challenge made with their polka dots! See Krista's here, and Melissa's here. (On Melissa's - freebie alert.)
Did you play along? Add your photo's to the flickr group!

I don't see any reason why you couldn't wear this everywhere! Every grown woman needs a frilly skirt/tutu.
Seriously, I want one too.

sorry to the other girls, but you win hands down! I think you need to sell a pattern for this, you just might run into other women wearing them at the grocery store!
