Hello fans of Sandi's work! First and foremost, it is important to note that the dulcet tones in which this blog is being delivered to you are not those of our favorite diva/fashionista/somethingelsethatendswith'iva'. This message will be brought to you today by her Snarky, Sassy Sister and her Baby-Daddy. Namely, Jenni Brown and Dustin Henderson. We have only been given three specific instructions by the Master and Commandress: Announce a winner, Announce a word, Announce an Announcement. But this is a hijacking, not a favor, and so we will probably end up saying whatever we want. And now, the man behind the woman behind the fabric: Dustin Henderson.
Being totally inexperienced in the art of the "Hijack", except for that one time I used her twitter account to bring to light a certain slip of the tongue. Any-who. Sandi may very well regret giving me the password for her blog after this night is over and her favorite fabrics are raffled off to quench my need for a table saw. I suppose I/we should at least attempt to fulfill one of the tasks that have been left me/us. On to an Announcement. Drumroll please. The winner of the Sponsor giveaway will be quoted after this short pause..............................................................................................
..............................................................................................................................
..............................................................................................................................
..............................................................................................................................
My daughter is having my first and only granddaughter in November and I have been making your adorable hair accessories right and left. To win your $100 giveaway would be icing on the cake for me. I would never go to sleep. What a talented young woman you are. Jennifer Posted by: Jennifer Kensinger | October 17, 2010 at 06:26 AM
Now that I have dispensed with that formality, which I am sure Sandi has a method for providing Jennifer with her winnings, it is time to move on to other wonderful and quite possibly senseless ramblings and such. Have no fear, gentle reader, ere long the rest of the required "ANNOUNCEMENTS" shall be announced.
Thank you, Dustin, for that stunning display of announcership! And congrats to the winner! By the way, we have decided midway through writing this display of piracy that, for the sake of the recent tax on confusion, we will be writing in two separate colors. Dustin in a fine Sith Red and myself in this lovely Clover green, in a shameless snorkel (written in place of the word I just forgot) for my book which is many years away from being published. The word, Dustin just informed me, is 'plug.'
Anywho, on to the word of the week! The word this time is not, unfortunately, 'bird,' even though it would be a fabulous idea because then all of the creators could listen to Surfin' Bird...but I digress. The word is! ORANGE!! As in 'Five Orange Pips,' 'A Clockwork Orange,' and that thing that comes mostly from California and is full of Vitamin C. Delicious! Also, Sunny Delight, one of my favorite drinks that draws constant criticism from the Hendersons. Who's up for criticism now, punks?!
The word is 'orange.'
Up next, we'll be discussing...whatever Dustin comes up with.
It is now time for some truly evil (sort of) blogging of an impactful nature. Well that was sure fun. I thought I waould try to spice things up in this very mundane and Albuquerque post. The word I was searching for eluded me as well. We may need to check this room for a draft as ideas and such are just swept right out of my head before they are fully realized and able to fly on their own. I have now captured that errant thought and the word I was searching for has now escaped me again. No, I just got it again and it is "pedestrian". Feel free to substitute it for any word that I have heretofore typed and enjoy a throw back to the carefree days of "MAD LIBS" As I am fully incapable of using google to try and figure out how to make the little trade-mark-thingy appear. (Read that as I am to lazy to switch to a new tab and perform said search) The Apple logo will stand in as the stunt trade-mark-thingy.
Now that I have rambled on and truly lost my own train of thought as well as yours, no doubt, I will make our 4th and possibly most important announcement. Sandi is not here!!!! She is currently much further South and quite possibly warmer. She is ever so carefully and daintily making her way to Houston, TX to make a one day only appearance at International Quilt Market. Sh wll b rnd th Mchl Mllr bth fr th mjrty f th tm. ppl hs stln my vwls. Lets try this again. She will be around the Michael Miller booth for the majority of the time. Her appearance will take place on Friday the 29th so be sure to look for her and tell her she left her refrigerator running and it is now half way to Texas and would she please round it up and bring it back with her.
I'll have you all know that the poor man was sniffling and dabbing away 'sand from his eyes' as he wrote about his beloved snuggle-bum's location so far away :( Saaaad.
And Sandi, my dear darling elder sister who is such a wonderful example to me...lest we spirits have slighted you in our tramping across your lovely blog, just remember that you asked for it.
No, really, she did. Good night, folks!

Bahahaha! My husband hijacked my blog one time. I live in fear of it happening again, and actually tend to blog my most embarrassing moments in a speedy fashion so he will not have the chance to tell on me first, and ruin my feeble attempts at redeeming my dignity with explanations. Love this!

You two should go on America Has Talent. Very entertaining! I can relate to the thoughts being swept away, but in my case, it has to do with age. Well done!

I am bummed that Sandy will not be at Market on Saturday because that is when I am going--wanted my dear hubby to meet such an inspiration!
Have fun while the boss is away.

I don't mean to be snarky, but the majority of oranges grown come from my state: Florida. Not California! ;)
Anywho, great post!!! :)

Funny!! I just found this blog through the Laniejane email, which is funny because I just discovered Meadowsweet too (I guess I've been living under a rock). I spent the last week playing with that gorgeous fabric and would LOVE to win more but I'm not sure how? Is it to leave a comment here? Anyway I am happy to have found the blog of my new favorite designer!!!

Holding the flower has been given the meaning, the bride holds it into the auditorium, the witness of the whole wedding happy moment. And to hand the flower, single men and women, received good wishes. Holding the color of the flower in addition to pure static white, of quietly elegant fizzles out pink blue, red outside corolla this objective is two years, by numerous new love.
