Thank you for all the sample orders yesterday!  We have more, lots more..  So if you don't mind, I'll list them in this space until they're gone and then I will have the room to make new ones out of new fabric.  Hooray!

We have a lot of samples!  And since we have moved, my studio space is much smaller than before and I have samples falling out of closets and drawers.  I've been contemplating what to do with them for the last few weeks, and have finally decided to just list them here with a quick Buy Now button through paypal to be as quick and easy for anyone who might be interested in some already sewn goods.

Head Turner

Thank you for the compliments on the bit you saw of Secret Garden!  My favorites from the collection (if I had to pick) are yet to be unveiled. 

To answer a few questions, the collection will be released at Spring Quilt Market in Salt Lake City.  That's when it "hits the fan" so to speak. From that point, it will most likely still be a few months before people can have it in hand.  I know..  it's so hard to wait!  That's one of the bummer parts about sharing what I'm working on while I'm still working on it, but I like bringing you in on the behind the scenes stuff.  And I think you guys like it too, so we'll just have to work on being patient together.

A few people asked how I came up with the title "Secret Garden."  I am completely ruled by the title of a collection.  For me, it is actually what comes first, before I even begin sketching.  I've done it once the other way around and it was the most difficult collection for me to design.  I need direction!  The title gives me that.

When I am beginning to gather ideas to get going on something new, I toss around titles and when the *one* floats into my head, bam!  I know it right away and the ideas come faster than I can jot them down.  This collection was no acception, I came up with about 25 different prints and had to edit it down to the very best ideas and it was hard. 

Anyhow, Secret Garden isn't in correlation to the book directly.. in fact I haven't read it yet.  I'm going to do that once the collection is completely finished though.  I didn't want to be swayed in any way from my initial idea of Secret Garden, which was basically "vintage english garden."  So that was the inspiration, and no, I have never been to tour any gorgeous english gardens.  Someday.. and then we can have a Secret Garden #2!  :)

I neglected to let you guys know of the Head Turner Kit which is now live on the website!  We kitted this in really limited quantities, so grab one quick!

What "Work" looked like today.

Not to be fully unveiled for a few more months, but the first strike offs of my next fabric collection are looking pretty!

Ohhh..ok.  I've convinced myself and nobody else even had to ask.  Here's a bigger sneak..

This is only about half of the collection, it's turning out so happy for me!
