Has it really been two weeks since Quilt Market? I never even announced I was going.. but go I did, and back I have been.
We are in the process of moving, I am finishing up my second book, and finishing up my fabric collection for the spring. Yeah, I'm not the best at planning out those big events over the year. I'm a little batty over here, but have new fun things I want to share in the ole blog, but obviously need to show something from market!
But alas, I forgot my camera. It was somewhat intentional, as I had to miss Halloween to attend and I wanted some record of it to see (which was horrible) but the Michael Miller clan kept me in good spirits the whole time (which was great.) Luckily my dear friend was traveling with me and her camera captured a few shots, so here is your SHD market quickie.
I taught a schoolhouse with said bestie, which was fun.
This is me doing my very best impression of a sales guru. "You know you want this fabric.."

We made a quilt and back it with LAMINATE! I wasn't sure how it would quilt, but it did wonderfully! Here is Amber doing her very best Vanna:

We also played around with the new laminates and recovered an umbrella. 'Twas a hit.

Here is a shot of my little corner of the show. Dustin didn't travel with me this time (that whole Halloween thing..) so we took on a smaller space. I hyperventilated into a paper bag for a month before the show with worries I wouldn't be able to spring it from the ground without him, but look at this. (girl power)

Mmkay, one thing off my to do list, twenty more to tackle.
OH! And check out the mini-interview Amber did with me. She asked some good questions. If you want to know what my favorite ice cream is or when I realized I was an artist (I've always considered myself a musical person, but not so much artsy).. read here.
