Tonight (after we watched Hollie Cavanaugh go home.. we have our priorities) we climbed into bed and Dustin read scriptures. I was practicing more with my camera.. look at this capture in almost no light.. (!!)
Then Eliza volunteered to say the prayer. She had a bee in her bonnet about something silly.. (insert 8 year old priority of making a lunch for a field trip x days early..)
So she starts her little prayer..
"Dear Heavenly Father..
We are grateful for this day.. we are grateful that we could.. do things.. we are thankful for our family..
PLEASE HELP US TO UNDERSTAND THAT OTHER PEOPLE DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING, ESPECIALLY OUR PARENTS.
....
Amen"
Have you ever been scolded by your child through prayer? I have.
And I have to say, it was hee-lar-ious. All reverence was gone and Dustin & I cracked up, rolling over on the bed laughing. We are *such* good parents.
Amen to that.
The child doesn't look like she has that bad of a life..

ha ha! my favorites are "please bless ** (big brother) to learn to close his eyes during prayer..."
My kids don't pray too often about us, but they sure do pray/tattle on each other during prayer....and then every once in a while they say something profound or expresses gratitude for something that I thought was beyond their understanding.
I love listening to kids pray!!

Haha! That is HILARIOUS. For my whole life long, my grandpa has sung this song at the TOP OF HIS LUNGS every morning. "It's great to get up in the morning, it's great to get up in the morning, it's great to get up in the morrrrrnnnniiinnnnngggg, but it's better to stay in bed..." And needless to say, no one in the family likes this tradition, and we all grumble about it. Well, the last time we went to visit him my 6YO prayed that he wouldn't sing it in the morning. Then, when she got to his house she TOLD him that she'd prayed that. What's a guy to do? He's done it so many years he can't help himself, but SHE did pray, and he doesn't want to be the reason her prayers don't get answered, HAHA! It was such a dilemma for him I almost felt bad, but it was so funny! And so very clever of her.

Love it! I am not a big fan of tattling, so we have the "is it going to hurt someone, cause if not, I don't want to hear it" saying at my house. It's funny the way they find to tattle without tattling. "Someone" broke the tulip (with finger pointing to the offender).

I am praying for you and your husanbd. I am so sorry for the pain you are going through. I have both struggled with addiction and been the victim of people dealing with their addictions so I have seen both sides of the destruction that addiction can cause. It causes otherwise caring people to turn selfish and uncaring towards those who love them most. It fills hearts and minds with lies that feed the addiction and blind people to Truth. I am praying that God will comfort and strengthen you and help you connect with His love in a very special way. I am also praying that God will begin to break the chains that this addiction has placed on your husanbd. I am praying that your husanbd would begin to see and recognize Truth and turn from the sin he has become entrapped in. I am praying that you would both feel His presence strongly in your individual lives as well as in your relationship. I will continue to pray for you and hope you will continue to update on how you are doing and how we can continue to pray for you. God bless you.On a side note, have you looked into possibly seeing a counselor during this very difficult time in your life?

God hears your every prayer but if there is a time and a season for everything, then there must also be a season for love. I want to share with you four small principles that are bound to help you along the way.

She's smart I must say. Lol. But she is so innocent and pure. May you raise her to become a good citizen.

I find it so encouraging that am not the only
human out there over the age of 20 who doesn't know this kind of stuff! Time to learn *about all of it*.

Knowledgeable, but entertaining, as are many of your pages.
I read through the archives over the past week or two, and I must say I think I'm infatuated.

I really appreciate all the tough work you've devoted to keeping this place going for all of us. I honestly hope this stays online for a very long time.
