There were a dozen times after pressing the publish button on my post yesterday that I raced to my computer to hit delete, delete, DELETE!!! And then I would see the beautiful things so many of you that I have never had the chance to meet, hug or laugh with in person were sending in messages of love and support.
Thank you.
How many times have you been chatting with a friend over lunch and talked about "I know this person that just ..." only to realize - you really don't know that person, you read their blog. But oh how this cyber world can feel so much like friendship and support, as long as we are being ourselves and real. Lives aren't perfect, and I rejoice in reading other people share what is really going on in their lives. So.. friends, thank you.
And here, some uber messy (love that) watercolor sketches I did the other night. Ballet is on the brain for some reason! This is a rather large painting, so I just took a few quick shots with my phone. Nothing to fancy, but a little eye candy is better than none me thinks.
Mwahh!
Sandi

I felt your story in my heart just like I feel this painting in my heart. I love it and all it may represent. Wishing all who read this a bit of sunshine in your heart.

First of all, I am so glad you are on the mend! I wanted you to know that you were one of the first blogs that I started to follow! I believe I was drawn to the bright colors and design of your fabrics. I stayed because of your stories, your children, your husband, your creativity! You always answered any question I had immediately and that made me smile! Keep healing Sandi. We all care for you very much!
Now, as for that ballerina doodle...LUV, LUV, LUV! Of course, my daughter is a ballerina!

On a shallower note, I am so envious of your artistic abilities! Glad you are well and going home.

If you do Netflix, i just watched "Ballerina" on instant and it was really good. It's a documentary on 5 Russian Ballerina's. Lots of good inspiration.
Well wishes to you....!!

So glad you didn't hit "delete"!
Life is messy, it isn't perfect, but it's in the sharing of it that we see just how good it can be.
Health and happiness to you and yours....

I'm very glad you didn't hit delete because I would have missed it since I didn't get around to reading until today. First off, I'm so glad you are ok. I'm sure it has been a tough past year. Not living in your own home with your own things surrounding you had to be a test of your patience. I went through something similar in 2008. It was very tough and I'm still feeling the effects of the disease which isn't curable but is controllable. I hope you have a fun time in Hawaii with your mom. Sounds like a perfect trip.
Looking at your paintings above, it makes me hopeful that some or all of that will end up in a new fabric line. If not, PLEASE consider some other medium (cards, paper, stickers). You are so incredibly talented and I would love some of those in my stash! =)

i am glad you are on the good side of your difficult journey (this mountain anyways, probably different ones to come) and that you came through a better and stronger person!! You are a gifted and talented artist and so good with color!! I have loved each and every collection you have put out for the color as much as the prints. Enjoy your weekend!

Love, love, love the ballet watercolors! It reminds me of great big peonies, with a side of ballet! So cool.
I know what you mean about "I know this person that..." I tell Hubby all the time, "I have a bloggy friend that...."
Let's face it, none of us knows what is really going on day to day in anyone's life; behind closed doors kind of thing.
However, I believe that most people are good, and think that most poeple that blog (especially about fabric, yarn, and family) are pretty upfront people. And I wish my bloggy friends health, love, and laughter. Every single day. That includes you and your family. :)
