From the Kitchen

I think the best part of having our own home again is having our own kitchen. For a family who loves food (not just eating, but cooking and preparing too!) not having your own kitchen is hard. So yes, I do a happy dance in my kitchen every day, sometimes nekkid just because I can.

Fall food is my favorite.. Oh but summer food.. Winter treats.. Ok, let's settle with I love fall food. The spices, the soups, warm bread, apple pie, wassail, pumpkins, cranberries.. I could go on.

We didn't have a garden this year so have been endulging in farmers market and food co-op yields. Local corn, peaches from Washington, pumpkin purée from our freezer that we grew and harvested from our last garden. It feels so good to be back in charge of a kitchen!

Do you have fall favorites? This is usually the time I make peach jam, but we have at least a years worth left. A few people asked for my peach jam, peach pie and peach curd recipes.. Is it too late to fulfill on that?
