A day with the girls-so needed every now and then and so fun! Eliza and I had a day trip to Salt Lake on Saturday and met up with some of our girly friends and had a day full of girly things. We went to Disney on Ice, Princess Wishes. (I would include a link, but for some blasted reason the flash on my computer is not working and no matter how many times I download it, I still just get the message that I need the latest version anytime I try to view a flash site. AND since the Princess Wishes site is flash, well I can't view it to get the link!) Suggestions?) Anyhow-back to the girly day. Look at my beautiful friend Carrie who I miss as much as air since her family moved 2 hours away and her beautiful daughter Tessa. Carrie was the brain child of this operation and I'm so glad she thought of it!
This is the other gorgeous little girl we met up with (and her mama but no pictures of her somehow!?) What photogenic little girls huh? This was really fun to take pictures of humans again. It seems like all I've been photographing lately are piles of fabric and inanimate objects. Fun, but humans really add something to a picture you know? ;)
OK, here are some princess shots. Yes I realize that these are probably like vacation pictures that nobody wants to see but it's my blog so ha! Just kidding, I think you'll get a kick out of these, or at least my narrative.
Here is Prince Eric in his height of romancing Ariel. Look at his face-he's pretty serious huh? Wonder what he's thinking..
This is right after she tells him that she can actually spout a tail and is half fish:
And then there was the lovely Cinderella, I have nothing funny to say about her unfortunately. It was really pretty. Prince Charming was pretty intense and either a great actor or actually has a thing for Cinderella hmm..
Do you know in the song like sequence in Sleeping Beauty where the fairies are giving her their gifts right before Maleficent storms in and crashes the party? In that dreamy sequence, Aurora is floating sleep like in a cloud (wait, maybe this is during Meriwether's gift after Maleficent?) - anyhow, here is my version:
The dragon that Prince Philip fights was really cool and actually spit fire on the ice! It burned until it was gone and left a big puddle in the middle that they just skated through for the rest of the show.
All is well! Let's dance shall we?
Jasmine was really pretty, they included Mulan which would have thrilled my sister Jenni and there were some Cirque de Soleil worthy tricks. Flipping through the air after launched from a ramp, back flips, fire on ice, tickled pink little girls. It was worth the cost of the ticket.
THEN we went to the Gateway which is a fabulous outdoor mall in Salt Lake. Eliza had her first trip to Gymboree where she decided that mom's clothes weren't all that great after all, I picked up my new phone from the Apple store. (This is worthy of an entire post all of its own-oh my goodness!) And then we hopped over the Build a Bear and created an orange kitty complete with pink sparkly ballerina get up that is now named Twyla. (They are much cuter in real life.)
Ok, I'm done for now! I went a little link crazy there didn't I? We had fun, I am feeling refreshed and ready for the week ahead of me. It's going to be a full one!
